2012 Room Rates and Booking Information |
|
The tariff is from £30 to £40 per person per night throughout the year.
Discounts apply to stays over three nights and for midweek breaks from Sunday to Thursday.
One and two night stays
£35 per person per night.
The only exceptions in 2012 being Easter weekend/Scooter Rally, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Goth Weekends, Whitby Regatta and Whitby Folk Week when the nightly tariff is maintained at the rate of £70 per room per night for stays up to four nights duration.
Three night to six night stays
£32.50 per person per night.
The tariff is reduced to £65 prpn (per room per night) for stays over three nights which include either a Friday or a Saturday night.
There are further reductions to £63 prpn, £60 prpn and £58 prpn for stays of three to five nights respectively which are taken between Sunday and Thursdays (see below for more details).
Seven night stays
From £30 per person per night /£210 per person per week.
Weekly stays attract a generous discount equivalent to a free night’s stay (seven nights for the price of six) throughout the year and include all the bank holidays and major events/festival periods.
All rates quoted are based on two persons sharing either a double or a twin/small family en suite room and are inclusive of full English breakfasts.
There is free private on site parking provided on the forecourt for the duration of your stay - one space is available for each room booked.
Maximum tariffs
The maximum room tariff of £80 per night will apply when the largest en suite family room is occupied as a double or a twin room by two persons for stays up of one and two nights (also for three and four nights at peak periods as previously stated). Easily accommodating either a family group of three or two travelling companions requiring lots of “own space”, this exceptionally large room has a bathroom with both bathing and shower facilities, one double and one single bed.
Please contact us directly regarding prices for family rooms as discounts and multiple occupancy rate reductions will vary according to numbers and ratio of adults to children. All prices quoted on this website are based on two full paying persons occupying a double or a twin room.
Midweek rates during 2012
Between Sunday and Thursdays, the rates for stays between three and five night duration start from £29 per person per night (for five night stays) and are available all year except for peak periods. Friday and Saturday nights cannot be included in these breaks and the rates are not available at bank holiday/weekend/events and festivals.

IMPORTANT BOOKING INFORMATION
The maximum tariff rates of £35pppn and £40pppn will apply to stays of two to four nights duration at Bank Holiday periods, Goth Weekends, Whitby Regatta and Folk Week.
Please note that minimum stays of two/three nights will normally apply at peak times.
This includes peak season weekend dates, bank holidays, festivals and events periods. One night stay vacancies do occur from time to time, usually at low season but they also appear in between the longer term bookings. We can’t make any promises but please contact us directly when we will try our best to help as we may be able to meet your requirements.
Single occupancy in a double room may be available at significantly reduced double room rates when booked in conjunction with at least one other double or twin room for a minimum stay of two nights otherwise the published double/twin room rates will apply.
Our main check in period is between 4pm and 6pm but car parking space is available from 10 am onwards. Earlier and late arrivals may be accommodated by prior arrangement - please advise at time of booking.

We will contact you by return email to confirm room availability with you and provide you with details of the room rate for the dates requested. If you would like us to call you back don’t forget to furnish us with all your contact numbers - home/work or mobile. Finally, please do not hesitate to contact us any time should you require any further information. We will be more than happy to answer any questions regarding the guest house, about Whitby or anything else which is relevant to you.
IMPORTANT PAYMENT INFORMATION
Please note that currently all payments are by cash/postal order or cheque (for payment of deposit only). Commencing in January 2012 we respectfully request that all balances are to be settled upon arrival in cash.
Please make deposit cheques and postal orders payable to “Holmleigh Guest House”
A deposit equivalent to the cost of the first night’s stay will be requested to secure the room. We will hold the room for three working days from the date of your initial enquiry (we cannot guarantee continued availability if deposits arrive later).
A booking is confirmed by us following receipt of the requested deposit amount. Receipt of deposits are acknowledged by return either by telephone or email.
Stays over three nights at major holiday and event periods will require 50% deposit to secure the booking. |
